Data Protection
Protecting your personal information with care and transparency — because trust requires responsibility.
Why data protection matters here
People who engage with Lifted Life often share sensitive information — about their mental health, their struggles, their prayers, their stories. That information is shared in trust, and we have a duty to protect it.
We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 — not just because it is the law, but because responsible data handling is part of how we care for the people we serve.
Our data protection principles
- Lawfulness, fairness and transparency. We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis, and we are clear about what we collect and why.
- Purpose limitation. We collect data only for specific, stated purposes — not “just in case” or for undefined future uses.
- Data minimisation. We collect only what we need. If we don’t need your date of birth, we won’t ask for it.
- Accuracy. We keep personal data accurate and up to date, and we make it easy for you to correct information.
- Storage limitation. We don’t keep data forever. When we no longer need it, we delete it securely.
- Security. We protect data against unauthorised access, loss or damage using appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have rights over your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Objection — object to certain types of processing.
Questions or requests
If you have questions about how we handle your data, want to exercise any of your rights, or have concerns about data protection, please contact us at info@liftedlife.co.uk. We aim to respond to all data protection requests within 30 days.
“We handle your data with the same care and respect we bring to every aspect of our work.”
