Surplus support

Surplus food and practical help, handled with dignity.

Surplus is a Lifted Life support pathway for community food, household essentials and local practical help. It is not branded as a food bank. It is a respectful route for connecting safe surplus with people and families who can use it.

What it can include

Surplus groceries, donated goods, event leftovers, seasonal support packs and signposting to trusted local services.

How it should work

Partners tell Lifted Life what is available, when it must be collected, allergy or storage notes, and who it is suitable for.

Safeguards

No unsafe food, no unclear expiry information, no public shaming, and no promise of emergency provision unless a confirmed partner is ready.

Partner route

Churches, caterers, community groups, shops, event organisers and local projects can use the Support form and choose Surplus or practical community support. Lifted Life can then triage the offer before anything is promoted publicly.
